Our client, a global FMCG business, is currently looking for an experienced Finance Controls Manager to join the Global Expansion Unit (GEU) finance team, based in Amsterdam. In this role you will lead the implementation and oversight of financial control frameworks across the GEU legal entities, ensuring compliance with group policy, statutory requirements, and commercial governance.
Reporting to the GEU Head of Finance/ Global Controllership, your responsibilities will span controls and compliance, commercial business partnering, and finance operations. Day to day this covers maintaining the GEU Controls Framework, leading monthly balance sheet reviews, overseeing month end close, and supporting the Commercial Policy Framework across distributor audits, stock reporting and pricing principles. You will provide monthly controls updates to the VP and Leadership Team, act as key liaison for internal and external audit, and partner with Global Finance Services to ensure PTP, OTC and RTR processes run effectively. The role also carries specialist finance responsibilities, including managing bank accounts alongside Treasury and partnering with Group Tax, as well as mentoring and coaching direct reports to strengthen the wider finance control culture.
The ideal candidate will be a qualified accountant (ACA, ACCA or CIMA) with a strong technical and commercial finance background, and proven experience in financial control, audit and compliance within a multinational or FMCG environment. A strong understanding of ERP systems and end-to-end finance processes is essential, along with excellent stakeholder management and communication skills, and the ability to influence senior stakeholders across finance and the commercial organisation.
Offering a base salary of €95,000 to €120,000 inclusive of holiday, plus bonus.
