We are partnering with an international, private equity-backed business headquartered in Amsterdam to appoint an experienced Interim Global Corporate Controller for an engagement of 18 – 24 months on an FTC basis. This is a senior finance leadership hire, and sits at the core of a business undergoing significant transformation and growth.
The successful candidate will assume full ownership of the global controllership function, ensuring the integrity, accuracy, and timeliness of financial reporting across multiple jurisdictions. Working closely with the CFO and senior leadership team, you will oversee the consolidation of group accounts, manage external audit relationships, and ensure robust compliance with relevant accounting standards across the business. You will also play a central role in driving process improvement and financial control frameworks, supporting the broader value creation agenda of the PE sponsor.
The ideal candidate will bring extensive experience in a senior controllership or group finance leadership role within a complex, multinational environment, ideally gained within or alongside a private equity-backed business. A strong command of IFRS is essential, as is proven experience managing cross-border financial operations and leading high-performing finance teams across multiple geographies. Prior exposure to PE ownership cycles, including investor reporting, covenant compliance, and exit preparation will be a distinct advantage.
This engagement offers a highly visible platform within a dynamic international business, with access to the CFO and executive leadership team. Competitive pay, commensurate with the seniority and complexity of the role. The position is based near Amsterdam, and candidates must be available to commit to 3 days per week on-site presence for the duration of the engagement. Immediately available candidates will be strongly preferred. Salary circa €180k-€200k + bonus.
