Our client, a PE-backed global business, is seeking an experienced Interim Global Head of Security and Resilience Consultant on 12 month fixed term contract.
This is a senior, global mandate to design and stand up the organisation’s entire security and resilience capability, sitting within the Workplace, Facilities and Real Estate team. The brief is broad by design: risk strategy, crisis management and business continuity, incident response, investigations, supply chain and perimeter security, and the technology and training that underpins all of it. You will be the central point of contact for security across very different site types (labs and R&D facilities with real IP sensitivity, warehouses and distribution sites, commercial offices), so the ability to flex a security posture to the risk profile of each is more important than deep expertise in just one. You will also own the budget for this function and build the external relationships (law enforcement, intelligence contacts, vendors) that don’t currently exist inside the business.
The right person has come up through a mix of law enforcement, intelligence, public service or in-house corporate security (pharma, FMCG, or complex manufacturing backgrounds). You’ll have led teams before, ideally in a matrix rather than a straightforward line structure, and be comfortable presenting to senior leadership and governance committees. Most importantly, you’ll have built something like this before, rather than just maintained an existing function.
