Our client is a West End based proprietary trading firm, who are expanding their Trading Operations team. You will support their Alpha Capture system by executing ideas provided by sell-side contributors.
Daily responsibilities:
- Support the trading platform across EMEA, APAC and US markets.
- Discussing trading ideas from sell-side contributors.
- Support the discretionary traders in ensuring best practice is followed.
- Accurately capture trading ideas and load them into the proprietary trading platform, and monitor the trade execution for the model.
- This is an opportunity to become a skilled execution trader, understanding market microstructure, liquidity, and execution channels.
- Your focus will be on Equities but you will assist in hedging with derivative products.
- Apply risk checks to challenge external contributors on their suggested portfolio adjustments.
Skills and Experience:
- STEM degree.
- 0-1 year of experience within a Hedge Fund or Investment Bank.
- Strong technically proficient with Python, SQL and Excel.
- Strong interest in equites and capital markets.
