A global software PE backed business is looking for a Mergers and Acquisitions Associate to join their corporate development team in Johannesburg, South Africa. The ideal candidate is interested in seeking ownership and responsibility for key process milestones and deliverables as well as maintaining pipeline of acquisitions targets by building relationships with target stakeholders.
Responsibilities:
- Collaborate with Go-to-Market and Product teams to shape and refine the M&A strategy.
- Identify, evaluate and source potential acquisition targets aligned with strategic objectives.
- Oversee and coordinate third-party advisors across commercial, financial, technology, and legal due diligence processes.
- Prepare regular updates and strategic insights to ensure that the Executive Committee is updated and engaged with M&A activities.
Requirements:
- Bachelor’s degree
- 3-5 years of relevant experience in investment banking
- Experience managing end-to-end M&A processes
