Do you have 2-5 years of Hedge Fund Operations experience and are looking to gain more exposure? In this role you will oversee all Trading Operations activities within a boutique Equity Long/Short Fund.
Responsibilities:
- Oversee all trading operations & administration activities.
- Manage and maintain the Order Management System (OMS) and Portfolio Management System (PMS) to ensure accurate daily P/L reporting and reconciliation with Prime Broker, Custodian, and Administrator systems.
- Deliver daily exposure and performance reports to the investment team.
- Provide regulatory and risk management reports.
- Ensure the efficient operation of OMS/PMS, addressing any system issues promptly.
- Perform daily cash and position reconciliations.
- Process corporate actions and dividends.
- Resolve all settlement issues and respond to queries promptly.
- Monitor and manage cash, collateral, and margin calls.
- Track and manage expiring futures and options.
- Book expense accruals and manage payments.
- Record and process subscriptions and redemptions.
- Analyse investment compliance reports and promptly address any issues.
- Contribute to various projects, including regulatory changes, fund launches, and managed accounts.
- Reconcile P/L and NAV valuations provided by the Administrator.
- Prepare and distribute weekly NAV estimates.
- Maintain strong relationships with key counterparties, including Administrators, Prime Brokers, Custodians, OMS/PMS providers, and execution Brokers.
- Assist in preparing materials for marketing documents, monthly newsletters, presentations, and investor reporting.
- Support the preparation of regulatory reports, including AIFMD Annex IV.
Requirements:
- Education: Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Economics, Accounting, or a related field. Advanced degree/certifications are a plus.
- Experience: 2-5 years of experience in an operations role within an Equity Long/Short fund is essential.
- Technical Skills: Proficiency in Microsoft Excel is required; experience with VBA, SQL, or other programming languages is a bonus. Familiarity with SS&C Eze OMS/PMS and reconciliation tools is advantageous, although training will be provided for the right candidate.
- Skills: Strong analytical abilities, attention to detail, and the capacity to manage multiple tasks under tight deadlines. Excellent written and verbal communication skills are essential.
