Our exciting, privately owned client is currently seeking an Assistant Technical Quality Manager to join the team in Southall, 5 days per week in the office. You will be supporting the Technical Quality Manager in maintaining food safety and compliance throughout their operations.
Responsibilities:
- Collaborate with Technical & Quality Manager to manage, lead and mentor the technical team (including performance reviews and objective setting).
- Maintain site specification system (DOSS).
- Ensure customer portals are regularly updated.
- Stay up to date with EU & UK food legislation.
- Liaise with suppliers to ensure quality and safety.
- Identify and implement process improvements.
What we are looking for:
- Degree in Food Science, Food Technology or related field.
- Minimum of 3 years in a Technical or Quality Assurance role within Food Manufacturing.
- Minimum HACCP Level 3, Food safety level 3. GFSI lead auditor qualification would be advantageous.
- Experience managing teams.
- Strong knowledge of food safety standards, regulations and quality assurance frameworks. (HACCP, SALSA, BRCGS A&B).
