My Client is a high profile not-for-profit organisation based in Berkshire looking to hire a Financial Director to join their dynamic team.
The role is seeking a commercially minded candidate who will be hands-on within their role and who is capable of leading and developing the Financial, HR, and IT activity of the company.
You will be reporting to the Chief Executive and will be part of the Senior Executive Team. Your remit will involve the supervision of 2 staff and becoming responsible for their professional development. You will act as Company Secretary in all governance matters, as well as contributing to the strategic direction of the business by evaluating performance and potential investments.
This role will require you to take responsibility along with the other members of the Senior Leadership Team for all aspects of running the organisation. Further duties include: regularly reporting the financial health of the organisation to the Board of Trustees, and taking responsibility for planning and managing the budget. The candidate will need to assess and agree any potential risks for the company whilst taking note of current and impending charity legislation.
The successful candidate will be a Qualified Accountant (ICAEW, CIMA, ACCA) with 7-10 years financial and management experience, including significant experience in SME environment. Along with this, you will need to have significant interpersonal skills to engage at all levels throughout the business.
